A cidade e a utopia

RESUMO

A cidade, historicamente, reuniu as condições objetivas para a emergência do pensamento utópico. O governo ideal e a forma ideal foram perseguidos tanto pela pena de filósofos quanto pelo compasso de urbanistas. A experiência pedagógica e mobilizadora da cidade cria um sentimento de mudança nos homens, pois permite acreditar que a sua realidade é mutável.

ABSTRACT

Historically, the city brought together the objective conditions for the emergence of utopian thinking. Ideal government and form were persecuted both by the pen of philosophers and by the compass of urban planners. The city’s pedagogical and stimulating experience creates a sense of change in men, as it allows to believe that its reality is changeable.
